With an exciting line-up of organisations, Discover the Future will be bringing oodles of free fun with engineering and technology activities specially developed for children. Packed full with mind-blowing displays and STEM activities, (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) there is something for everyone. There are opportunities to see behind the scenes and learn about the fascinating technology used in modern manufacturing, energy and defence that affects our everyday lives!
There is plenty to keep youngsters of all ages and abilities occupied for hours – and adults will be fascinated too! Most of the action takes place undercover so is weatherproof!

Discover the Future was previously known as the Imagineering Fair.
The Imagineering Foundation will not be holding an Imagineering Fair at the Royal Bath & West Show 2023. After a number of successful years at the Show, this independent education charity is changing direction, moving away from direct public engagement events like this towards grant-funding activity, while continuing its after-school Imagineering Clubs and STEM projects.
The Imagineering Foundation was set up in 2000 by a group of enthusiastic and dedicated engineers who recognised that fun hands-on STEM activities were the way to influence and inspire the young engineers of the future, from an early age. And it continues to champion this cause.
The Imagineering Foundation is very grateful for the generosity of the Royal Bath & West Show organisers which enabled it to run exciting award-winning Imagineering Fairs annually, from 2003, with the support of many blue chip organisations and colleges who developed and delivered unique STEM activities for thousands of delighted youngsters.
