Visitors to the Royal Bath & West Show this summer will be treated to a unique musical display of bale wrapping to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
Taking the main ring exhibit back to its agricultural roots, each day of the show will feature a fascinating display of grass-related machinery, from cutting edge balers and telehandlers to mesmerising silage bale wrappers.

Raising money for Breast Cancer awareness charities and sponsored by Volac, the display – featuring unique pink bale wrap – will be put on Redlynch Agricultural Engineering, based near Bruton, Somerset.
“The idea behind pink silage wrap began in New Zealand with a distributor’s request for support to raise money for breast cancer research,” says Head of Shows Alan Lyons. “Since then, pink bales have been spreading across the UK, as farmers join forces to raise money for charity, with Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Breast Cancer Campaign getting a donation for every roll of wrap sold.”
The display promises to be visually – and musically – stunning for farmers and non-farmers alike. “For farmers it’s an opportunity to see the latest equipment up close and in action,” adds Mr Lyons. “And anyone who has seen the speed with which these machines can operate will know how fascinating it is.”
Volunteers will be collecting charitable donations throughout the demonstration.
