The Royal Bath & West of England Society were delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex to the Bath & West Showground earlier this week.

Continuing their visits across the county, The Earl and Countess arrived at the Bath & West Showground just before midday on Monday 17th May to visit the NHS Staff & Volunteers working at the Large Vaccination Centre in the Wessex Pavilion.

Following this, The Earl then headed to the upper part of the Showground to visit The Somerset Community Foundation (tenant at the Bath & West Showground), whilst The Countess met staff from the Royal Bath & West of England Society, of which Her Royal Highness is the Vice Patron.

After what has been a challenging year for the Society, it was a welcome opportunity for the Staff to meet with their Vice Patron to share their plans for the reopening of the Showground and the Bath & West Country Festival, which is due to take place in August.

Representatives from the Young Farmers Club, Thatchers Cider, Westcombe Dairy, Coombes Micro Dairy, Yeo Valley & Alvis Bros Limited were also met by The Countess.
