The Royal Bath & West of England Society were delighted to welcome their Vice Patron of the Society, The Countess of Wessex, to the showground to visit the newly refurbished Royal Enterprise Centre.

The Society’s former office building underwent a £500k refurbishment, to create an Agri-tech & Food Innovation & Training Centre. The Society envisages a wide range of groups using the facilities; from farmers undertaking knowledge transfer projects to micro food & drink businesses looking to expand and grow.

Representatives from the newly formed Food & Drink Business Network were invited to meet the Countess, along with the Rural Enterprise Centre tenants, the Showground tenants & Society Staff members.

The Countess was invited by Mary Prior CVO MBE JP, President of the Royal Bath & West of England Society, to unveil a plaque to commemorate the visit.
