Southern Tank Services Ltd. specialise in supply, installation and replacement of oil storages tanks. Our services include domestic, commercial and industrial installations for heating oils, fuel depots and waste oils and chemicals. Based in Wiltshire near the A303 and A36 gives our installation engineers the best access to serve the south of England. All of our installation engineers are OFTEC (Oil Fired Techincal Association) qualified and fully insured so you can be assured of the highest stardard of workmanship and technical ability.

OUR SERVICES:

DOMESTIC OIL STORAGE -Our most frequent service for domestic clients is to replace an old or leaking steel tank with a new, no maintenance, plastic tank with a 10 year garentee.

COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL OIL STORAGE - Government regulations concerning Commercial, Industrial and Institutions premises (factories, shops, schools, hotels, public-sector building and hospitals) for England came into force in 2001 stating: From March 2002 all new installations must be bunded. By September 2003 all existing installations at 'Significant Risk' must be bunded. By 1st September 2005 all remaining oil storage tanks must be bunded.

AGRICULTURAL OIL STORAGE - The Government regulations concerning agricultural premises in England, Wales and Scotland are the 'Control of Pollution, Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil Regulations 1991' and state that all (non-domestic) above ground tanks of more 1500 litres (330 gallons) must: Be bunded. Be sited more than 10 metres from any watercourse. Be arranged so that all taps and valves point downwards inside the bund and are locked when not in use. If fitted with flexable hose for filling of vehicles from the tank, it must be fitted with a vavle which closes automatically. The hose must also be locked within the bund when not in use.
