Welcome to the Envolve trade stand.
Envolve is a charity (formerly Bath Environment Centre) working in the South West of England to encourage more sustainable lifestyles, often in partnership with others.
We believe there is a real and urgent need to change the way we live, to protect the environment and our future quality of life. Our work is wide ranging, from setting up local food co-ops to providing business consultancy, from carrying out research into social enterprise to helping young people to have a voice in their community. We aim to judge change by whether it moves society closer to, or further from, sustainability. By sustainability, we mean using up resources only at the rate that they can be replenished, leaving the world in a fit state for future generations.
We work with businesses, schools, community groups and individuals too. We do this by providing practical support, consultancy, delivering projects and showcasing demonstration projects. Our Sustainable Living Centre in Green Park Station is our showcase for sustainability and we often have exhibitions and displays available.
Over the last ten years, Envolve has been leading the way in the region, by pioneering new approaches to help people live in more sustainable ways through, for instance, better health, less pollution, financial savings, more green space or improved community spirit.
The majority of our funding is from charitable grants and donations. We also have a flourishing membership programme which we would encourage you to join and show your support.
Our Education Team works with pupils and teaching staff in schools, helping to link sustainability with the curriculum. We also support environmental education projects through, higher education establishments, youth groups and community adult learning programmes.
We deliver environmental community courses locally and work with European partners to develop an adult learning environmental education curriculum.
