Friesian cows provide milk for the finest farmhouse cheeses.
Generations of the same family have made the highest quality Cheddar
since the early 1900's. This wealth of experience has resulted in
today's products combining the traditional methods of handmade
cheesemaking with the ultimate in hygiene standards.
Offering both unpasteurised and pasteurised varieties, Westcombe Dairy
does not compromise the unique flavour of its exceptional cheeses
matured for up to 20 months.
The cheese is suitable for vegetarians as a non-GM Vegetarian Rennet is used in the manufacture.
The cows are grazed near the dairy and the highest standards of care for the animals and the environment are adhered to.
All cheeses are graded and selected once matured in our cheese store at
Westcombe, Somerset. They are turned and tasted regularly and sold only
when peak maturity is reached. Delivery is direct from the farm weekly.
