Welcome to Somerset Food Links

Somerset Food Links (SFL) is a not-for-profit Company that began as an enterprise mainly of South Somerset District Council and Mendip District Council in 1999.

We are a team of dedicated people committed to developing a thriving and sustainable local food system throughout the county and neighbouring areas.

Our values are based on equitable access to fresh local food to all sectors of society, fair trade for all farmers, growers and producers while promoting care for the natural environment through a local food economy that limits damage through unnecessary travel, packaging and intensive production.

Information on how we maintain these values can be found through the variety of projects we manage, the organisations we have helped to set up and our consultancy service.
