Power of the Past

See the steam engines, the shire horse of their day, as they parade in the Kelston Sparkes Ring and marvel at the power and precision of the steam powered saw bench. Walk through the range of tractors, of all shapes and sizes, which took over the work on the farm as mechanisation became more common place. And finally view the numerous commercial vehicles which carried the goods from plough to plate.

The stationery or ‘barn' engines, provided the power on the farm creating electricity, driving milking parlours and water pumps.
