Royal Bath & West Show has taken the decision to cancel the Poultry & Waterfowl Showing classes this year.

Although we are aware that DEFRA have confirmed today Monday 15th May the ban on Poultry Gatherings has been lifted, however, the Committee and the Show Organisers have agreed that we should not run the classes.

The decision was not taken lightly, but in view of the two outbreaks in Lancashire recently, plus the fact visitors attend from a wide area, we have a responsibility to poultry exhibitors and poultry businesses in the West Country.  We take our bio-security responsibility very seriously and would not want to risk being the catalyst for a wider outbreak across the south west.

There will be an Egg Show, Pigeon Show and an Exhibition on Saturday 3 June, and the opportunity to purchase birds from one vendor.  Birds will also be present within Farming for the Family and the Woodland & Countryside Arena, so our visitors will still experience some poultry activity at the 2017 Royal Bath & West Show.

Exhibitors will be contacted this week.
