Carved Wainscot Chair

The hand carved oak Wainscott chair is an English armchair dating from the Tudor and Elizabethan periods. The chair has an ornately hand carved oak arcaded back, quadrafoil centre flanked by lozenges and roundels. The downswept arms sit on a solid seat, turned legs and joined by stretchers.
