Learn to Fly a Hot Air Balloon!

Anyone who can drive a car can learn to fly a modern hot-air balloon. It is uncomplicated; its control in fair weather can be adequately mastered by most people in only eight to twelve hours of instruction.

To gain your Private Pilot's Licence you need a minimum 16 hours' flying, to include 4 instructor flights and a flight test followed by a solo flight. You must also pass written exams in Air Law, Meteorology, Navigation, Balloon Systems and Human Performance.

We can make it happen for you! Use our balloon, our own BBAC appointed instructor and our ground school tutor for the written exams.

This is for a PRIVATE Pilot's Licence - all Ascent Pilots hold full Commercial Licences, have experience rated in 100's of hours and are CAA licensed to carry passengers.
