The Imagineering Fair

The Imagineering Fair returns again to the Royal Bath & West Show with the biggest line-up ever of organisations bringing scores of specially developed engineering and technology activities for children.

There is something for everyone with opportunities to see at first hand some of the fascinating technology used in modern manufacturing and defence, that affects our everyday lives – engineering that is rarely seen by most of us.

Helicopters, simulators, mechanical challenges, hands-on electronics, things to make and do; loads of fun activities and demonstrations – there is plenty to keep youngsters of all ages and abilities occupied for hours.  And adults will be fascinated too! Much of the action takes place undercover so is weatherproof!

Outside the marquee the Army, Royal Navy and Fleet Air Arm will be bringing activities and some of their vehicles.  There will be the AgustaWestland Schools Challenge in the marquee and outside while the daily Imagineering Team Challenge takes place in the Imagineering Arena, with company honour at stake in a hotly contested competition.

Action-packed, full of exciting challenges with prizes to be won – this year’s Imagineering Fair, together with the rest of the Royal Bath & West Show, is a fabulous family day out.

The Imagineering Fair is organised by the Imagineering Foundation, an education charity encouraging young people to consider engineering as a future career by capturing their enthusiasm at a young age, particularly through fun hands-on activities.

The Imagineering Fair is supported by AgustaWestland, Aimhigher, Airbus, Army Air Corps, Army ART25 (Tech & Log), City of Bristol College, BMT Defence Services, Bournemouth University, Bridgwater College, EDF Energy, EDT, EEF, Engineers without Borders UK, Fleet Air Arm Museum, GE Aviation Systems, GE Oil & Gas,  Imagineering Clubs, IET, IMarEST, IMechE, REME CRT, Royal Engineers, Royal Navy, Royal Signals, Thales UK, University of West of England, Weymouth College and Yeovil College.
