Food Hall & Cookery Demonstrations (2011)

The Food Halls are always packed with a wonderful variety of mouth watering delicacies to indulge in and take home for supper or the freezer. There is a superb range of meat, fish and game pies - all handmade, freshly made tea and coffee, homemade cakes and cream teas, speciality meats including Salt Marsh Lamb & Rare Breed Beef, cheeses, chutneys and jams, cheeky little cupcakes, cornish pasties, gourmet mediterranean deli and breads, fudges, liqueurs and of course one of the nation's favourites strawberries & cream, plus a lot more.
Cookery demonstrations will take place throughout the three days and we welcome three very talented chefs from the South West.
Josh Eggleton, The Pony & Trap, Chew Magna, Michelin Star Winner
Josh Eggleton commenced his culinary career at the age of 17 within the Chew Valley. In 2003 he was successful in his quest to become the Gordon Ramsay college scholar, andfollowing his success in this coveted competition he has travelled the world working with some of the world's finest chefs. He has now returned home to the Chew Valley with an ambition to provide fine food, fine wines and a memorable dining experience for all.
Tania Steytler – Severn & Wye Smokery, Westbury on Severn
Tania grew up in Cornwall and she worked as a chef to fund her through university in Cheltenham and opened a small Bistro which focused on using local produce from local producers and won a couple of awards from Taste of the West. She then became the Head Chef at the Severn and Wye Smokery position she has held for two and a half years. Severn and Wye Smokery supplies many great establishments including The Ritz London and Selfridges.
James Finch - Frome
James is a highly experienced chef and his CV includes cooking at Combe Grove Manor near Bath, The Talbot, Mells, The Manor, Ditcheat and was the owner and chef of the Faulkland Inn, Faulkland all prestigious inns in Somerset. He now teaches.
