Bath and West Village School
It may be half term but our Village School on the Village Green is a busy as ever showcasing Somerset schools and displaying the excellent work and activities they do.
Who we are!
At the village school you will find a team of volunteers committed to sharing knowledge and skills most of us have an educational back ground.
Where to find us!
You will find us in the village green and at our school the weather never stops play. Throughout the week our team of volunteers will provide you with free activities' and entertainment. This gives big kids the opportunity to relax while watching your children have fun, so why not take a break with us!
You will also be able to view our colourful exhibitions from schools across our region, representing activities that take place in education today.
How is the school funded?
Each year we try to theme the marquee and this year our theme is Bugs we are able to offer these activities because of our committed volunteers and the proceeds we make from our face painting.
What's on this year?
Visit the Pre-School Learning Alliance demonstrating how well pre-school children are catered for within the county. Come and see the variety of interactive arts and crafts for children as well as face painting (£1 a go in aid of the school).
There will be an exhibition running all week of entries into the special art competition and the winner will receive a Giant African Land Snail in a vivarium for their school (kindly donated by Bugfest).
Experience African Drumming sessions and take part in the making of an animated film about bugs - so much to do and all for free!
On Wednesday there is story telling throughout the day by BBC Somerset to support National Family Week, and on Saturday why not try your hand at circus skills! ,
