Animals are at the heart of the Royal Bath & West Show with a long and prestigious heritage of exhibition Livestock classes. Below we've picked out some of the highlights you can enjoy over the four days, but please do explore the other pages in this section to find out more about the animal and livestock attractions on offer at the Show.

Animal & Livestock Show Highlights

  • Watch the country's finest livestock including cattle, pigs, goats, sheep and alpacas as they compete to be crowned 'Best in Show'.
  • Visit the ‘Fur and Feather' zone where you can see small animals and birds such as rabbits and cavies, tame birds and poultry.
  • Thrill to falconry displays, admire the discipline of gun dogs and cheer on your favourite in the hilarious terrier racing in the Living Countryside.
  • See Heavy Horses close up and watch demonstrations of plaiting, hitching and other skills associated with these magnificent animals.
  • Over the four days you can see over 2000 horses, ponies and riders compete in a range of classes and competitions. Experience the highs and lows of the In hand and Ridden classes, the excitement of the Show Jumping and Driven Classes and the sheer entertainment of the crowd pleasing Team Events.
  • See top class shearers compete in fast paced and highly skilled shearing competitions throughout Thursday and Friday.
